Our Story
The idea for OriginEU was born during the Covid pandemic — a moment when the global supply chain crisis made it painfully clear just how interconnected (and fragile) the world had become.
At the time, we set out to find everyday products that weren’t “Made in China,” not out of animosity, but out of a desire for balance, transparency, and regional resilience. As the war in Ukraine unfolded and global politics continued to shift in the United States and abroad, it felt even more urgent to support ethical, local businesses within the EU.
So, Sir OriginEU and his faithful digital quest began.
We created origineu.quest to help others like us — people who want to make thoughtful, values-driven choices — find brands and products from companies based in the EU, owned and operated by Europeans.
What We Stand For
Our values are simple, but firm:

Who’s Behind This?
The site is created and managed by a French expat living in the UK, still a little nostalgic (and let’s be honest, a bit heartbroken) since Brexit. That feeling of longing for connection, identity, and shared values across the continent is part of what fuels OriginEU.
No big team, no corporate backers — just one person, a mission, and a growing map of European-made goodness.
